Board of Zoning Appeals Public Hearing – Thursday – December 5, 2019 – 7:00 p.m. Application #1457-19, submitted by Scott Hoar requests that: a conditional use renewal be granted for the purpose of storing equipment and one (1) sub-contractor construction equipment in out-buildings in addition to CLN Portable Restrooms. This request is made in an R-5 residential district located at 14211 Butternut Road in Burton Township, Ohio.
Zoning Commission will meet for a regular meeting on Tuesday – December 10,2019 at 7:00 p.m.
Generally, zoning regulations are created in order to maintain certain minimum standards for the township, thereby preserving and enhancing property values. Townships are authorized to enact zoning in accordance with Section 519 of the Ohio Revised Code
The zoning inspector is appointed by the board of trustees for the purpose of enforcing the provisions of the zoning resolution.
Zoning Inspector meets every Tuesday from 7:30 to 8:30 pm at the Administration Building.
The zoning commission meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm.
The Zoning Commission is comprised of five Burton Township residents and two alternate members who are appointed by the Board of Trustees. These volunteers are responsible for reviewing and offering a recommendation on all text and map amendments to the Zoning Resolution prior to the Trustees final determination on an application.
The Zoning Board of Appeals is quasi-judicial board comprised of five Burton Township residents and two alternate members who are appointed by the Board of Trustees. These volunteers hear and decide upon appeals to administrative zoning decisions, requests for variances and conditional use applications.
